“Stephanie” heads to Anglian Water to capture methane.

Stephanie, our production scale methane capture unit, is being piloted at a UK water company. Stephanie will be recovering residual methane from anaerobic digester effluent at an Anglian Water bioresources site, increasing the site’s biogas production and helping to meet newly introduced regulatory compliance, and reducing carbon footprint by hundreds of tonnes.

Stephanie will recover residual methane from anaerobic digester effluent, a process that offers multiple benefits. Firstly, it will increase the site’s biogas production, providing a valuable source of renewable energy. Secondly, it will help Anglian Water meet newly introduced regulatory compliance standards related to methane emissions, ensuring they adhere to the latest environmental regulations. Finally, the project will significantly reduce the site’s carbon footprint, preventing hundreds of tonnes of methane from entering the atmosphere.

Stephanie highlights the potential of Bluemethane’s technology to help water companies achieve both their operational and environmental goals.
