Methane capture for the sectors that need it most.
Bluemethane’s mission is to cut methane emissions from liquids at global scale. Methane escapes from wastewater treatment, anaerobic digestion, reservoirs and other liquid systems, largely unmeasured and unmanaged. Bluemethane exists to make these emissions visible, preventable and economically recoverable – turning methane from an infrastructure liability into a measurable operational variable.
Bluemethane provides a complete approach to managing these emissions:
Maximise methane recovery and emissions prevention.
Chloe is Bluemethane’s market-ready methane capture
technology for liquids. She recovers dissolved and free
methane from wastewater before it escapes downstream,
returning usable gas to site energy systems. Chloe is
commercially available and already deployed across biogas
plants and UK water utilities, operating on live assets.

Prevent downstream emissions by controlling methane production After capturing methane with Chloe, Brutus suppresses further methane generation by deactivating the methanogenesis process within liquids. This first-of-a-kind technology is currently being tested at scale in partnership with over half UK water utilities, representing the sector’s first carbon-practical route to preventing methane formation in downstream liquid handling.
Reliable methane measurement data to drive smarter mitigation. Emily measures methane in liquids. She is the first system able to accurately quantify both dissolved and entrained methane in complex fluids such as wastewater and sludge. Emily provides operators with data that was previously inaccessible, enabling regulation, investment decisions and emissions mitigation.
