Brutus cuts TVOCs by up to 95%
Eight water companies, one shared challenge: stopping methane before it forms.
If you work in the water sector, you know the Industrial Emissions Directive is coming – and you know TVOCs are at the heart of what it demands. Bluemethane Brutus, our methanogenesis deactivation technology, has now demonstrated up to 95% reduction in TVOCs in live demonstration conditions.
Brutus has been developed and demonstrated in partnership with seven UK water companies – most recently joined by Southern Water, together with Anglian Water, Scottish Water, Wessex Water, Welsh Water, Yorkshire Water, and United Utilities – with Thames Water also having tested our solutions. That is eight of eleven UK water companies engaged with a single technology development, targeting billions of pounds in compliance-driven cost savings across the sector.
