Néstor Rueda-Vallejo

Néstor is on a mission to expedite the energy transition through his passion for engineering and his experience in multiple fields such as mining, hydropower, process, and manufacturing. He co-founded Bluemethane after the warm winter of 2020 out of a dramatic headline in a newspaper claiming that the world’s hydropower reservoirs could be emitting up to a billion ton of CO2e.

Néstor brings over 18 years of experience in project engineering and modelling and simulation. Throughout his professional trajectory he delivered top-notch projects in record time resulting in successful multi-million dollar implementations throughout Europe and Latin America under the most challenging environments.

Néstor holds and BSc and a MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
