Who are the Bluemethane team working towards our common goal of methane capture from water? Let’s introduce you….
- Néstor Rueda-Vallejo is co-founder and CTO, leading all things technical. He specialises in structural integrity and process optimisation using computational modelling and simulation tools. Néstor’s focus has been on the development of engineering projects under the most challenging environments and situations for hydropower, public utilities, process, and mining companies across Europe and Latin America. Néstor holds both a BSc and a MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
- Louise Parlons Bentata is co-founder and CEO, leading all things commercial. Louise’s expertise lies in brand strategy, marketing and innovation, having run her own consultancy as well as working for Johnson & Johnson and L’Oreal. She decided to turn her skills to the climate emergency three years ago, through self-study and going back to Cambridge University for graduate learning.
- Luis Ramirez is our Chemical Engineer, focusing on CFD, process and equipment design for Bluemethane. He has a master’s degree in chemical engineering and is super knowledgable in Star-CCM+, Fluent, DWSIM, Python and SQL.
- Beckett Marshall is our Research Engineer, leading our technology testing programme and improving our understanding of mass transfer. Beckett studied Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London and really enjoys understanding the connection between the theory and practical and vice versa. He finds it incredibly rewarding working on such a meaningful and current climate problem that will undoubtedly impact the future.
- Eliana Bohórquez Bedoya is our Research Scientist, coordinating measuring, monitoring and modelling of methane emissions. Eli has been working on greenhouse gas emissions from water for six years. Whilst juggling her PhD in hydropower reservoir emissions, she has worked alongside us for three years.
