We are looking for a bright Chief of Staff to support the CEO and the leadership team with ideating and implementing new initiatives and help manage and improve existing processes and projects.

As Chief of Staff you will work closely with our CEO, and be responsible for a wide and varied number of tasks and projects that will enable our leader to drive the business forward effectively and quickly. This role will operate as a key component in our CEO effectiveness by contributing on strategy formulation and implementation, business analytics and insights, operations, key stakeholder management among other special projects and enable our CEO to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Our ideal candidate will have strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation and strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
Reducing methane emissions from water could be one of the most powerful instruments to slow global warming. Globally, 51 billion tonnes of greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere from human activity every year. Three billion tonnes are from methane escaping from water. No scalable solution exists to remove methane from water – until now.
Bluemethane is developing technology to measure, capture and utilise methane from water. This will permanently remove methane from water, reduce global warming and support the energy transition by unlocking a new source of energy. Bluemethane will start with reservoirs and wastewater, and ultimately, natural bodies of water. Bluemethane’s
mission is to capture a billion tonnes of CO2e from water.
The role reports to our CEO, Louise, who has 20 years of commercial experience in sustainability, innovation, brand
strategy, and marketing across big and small companies, globally. Louise is a Londoner living in London, hands-on, action focused, looking for team members to take responsibility to run with autonomous projects with some light-touch but regular support.
The Chief of Staff will work closely with the CEO, helping build the company culture and develop world class processes. The work will involve (but not be limited to):

Bluemethane is an entirely remote team. For this role, being within UK time is preferred, and as the CEO is based primarily in London, proximity to London would be viewed positively.
• You’re a self-starter, independent and structured with an entrepreneurial mindset – with the ability to lead and follow up processes.

• You have outstanding communication skills, including being able to write blogs, newsletters, other comms in line
with our brand guidelines.
