In November, Bluemethane’s CEO, Louise Parlons Bentata, spoke at Aquatech Innovation Forum 2023 in Amsterdam, on a panel discussing the untapped power of water for clean energy. Dedicating a whole session to the energy potential of water indicates increasing recognition of its importance.
Louise talked about the importance of increasing the operational efficiency of wastewater treatment plants. This can be achieved by capturing dissolved methane to produce a new source of biogas, supporting the energy transition.
The panel also included Dennis Korthout from Veolia Water, Rowan Benning from Netwerk Aquathermie, Joost Bouten from Vitens, and Keith Richardson from Organics Energy. The day was dedicated to diving into fresh ideas before the epic exhibition took centre stage.
“It was great to be on stage with other technology providers whose primary goal is to transform a wasted resource into a source of energy”
– Louise Parlons Bentata, Bluemethane CEO
Bluemethane is dedicated to measuring and capturing methane from water, reducing global GHG emissions whilst simultaneously harnessing a new source of biogas to support the energy transition.
